Cocktail à la Louisianne


  • 2½oz rye
  • ¾oz Carpano Antica
  • ½oz Benedictine
  • 2 dashes Peychauds bitters
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitssters
  • Absinthe rinse for the glass

Luxardo or brandied cherry to garnish

Orange twist to garnish


Combine ingredients and stir over ice. Strain into a cocktail glass that has been rinsed with absinthe. Garnish with cherry and an orange twist. Optional: warm the twist with a match and flame oil from the rind over the drink.
